Alison Smith, the UK’s premier teacher of dressmaking, tailoring and corsetry and couture techniques. She is the first person awarded an MBE for services to Sewing and Corsetry.

Alison is the author of the best selling books "The Sewing Book",  "Dressmaking, Sew Step by Step" and "Dressmaking Step by Step".  Alison also has a fabulous retail fabric shop Sew (your own) Wardrobe and is the principal teacher in the School of Sewing, concentrating on fit and technique.
